French Provincial Potholders complete

The completed "French" potholders, made from fabric (except for the binding) from my friend Luc's mom in Chantilly.  I am now proud to say that I am an effective (albeit unskilled) binder.  Thanks to Katie for the lesson and patience while I worked it out on her machine last week.

By the way, coming home to my old rickety machine was a bit of a disappointment.  This is why I never wanted to try yours. :)

The buttons were a pain in the ass, and my thumbs still hurt from yanking the needle through all those layers of fabric, but it definitely adds a nice touch.
