Folksy Potholders
A few potholders for my Aunts Kendra and Gin, using the same fabric as their respective bags. A word to the wise: never making a binding out of that heavy outdoor fabric. Unless you have a heavy duty machine and enjoy a little bit of a struggle, that is.
On the leftmost potholder I made a loop using the binding. It was hard, and didn't exactly turn out beautifully, but I fixed it up with a few hand stitches. It might be worth another attempt. You can see I didn't even bother on the second one, though.
The loops are a cute touch but really my least favorite part of the process. And most people I know keep their potholders stashed in a drawer so I've gotten more and more lazy when it comes to making them.
